Thank you very much for your interest in the desktop calendar for January 2008. It’s been pretty popular and getting more and more downloads. So I decided to draw more in that style not only for calendars, but for something else and I’m getting software ready now. I’ve got some requests for new ones, but please wait until everything is ready.Thank you again for your interest in petitinvention.

iGoogle Theme: Simple Black in Helvetica
I almost forgot I submitted a theme of iGoogle for BonstioNet a few months ago, and it was chosen the second (third? I don’t remember) prize in their design cometition.
You can download the theme to use it by first installing “Custom iGoogle Skins” at BonstioNet. After installing it, see “custom skins” in your iGoogle and check out the cool skins it has. Mine’s called “simple black” as you see in the image. Click it if you like it and you’ll see your iGoogle always in that theme.
Unmistakable Shampoo & Conditioner Containers
I guess the reason we mix up the shampoo and conditioner containers so often is that they look so much alike and we have to choose one with limited visibility. If they’re in front of you side by side, it’s quite natural you mix them up even if they’re in very different colors.
The best way not to is that you stack them vertically. That way you can touch and know which is which.

Camera that digitally erases people
Is this kind of camera already available? A camera that automatically erases only “people” from a scene.
Technically it must be possible.

External Touch Screen
Typographic Clock
The clock face is an LCD, so it can change the design pretty flexibly.

You are what you ___?
I came down with flu-like cold two days ago and have been in bed. Sill have some headache and feel dizzy.During the time in bed in anguish, I felt so helpless because what I could do was just saying something, not rationalizing it. Just uttering what I wanted, not describing it. And just picturing new ideas, not conceptualizing it. No matter how you hope something will be realized, nobody notices if you don’t do anything about it. Even YOU will forget what you wanted to do in the very near future.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU MAKE HAPPEN.
2007 will be over in less than 4 hours here in Japan. Thank all of you who visited my blog this year. I’ll make better ideas in 2008 and brush up my design skills. Keep letting me hear what you feel. I hope all of you have a happy new year!
3D Image Display and its potential
If there were a 3D display, even a very small one, it would be a lot of fun. The real object’s image could be easily and clearly seen from any angle, and what else has been difficult to be displayed with our conventional monitors could be done as a matter of course.
So, here’s my ideas of what could be done if I had an external small 3D display:
1) photo slide show: mac-like cool screen saver would be nice
2) calendar: good to have aside of my iMac when working ’cause it’s not distractive but helpful. Being able to pick a theme like ocean, forest, etc. would be cool.
3) Google Earth: I just can’t wait to see the 3D building images moving! You have the real earth image in the box!
4) 3D applications: could be handled much more easily.
Maybe it would be also possible to display a holographic image of a person you’re talking to on the phone.
What do you think? Give me other ideas.
